Voting for the surfers who will participate in the eighth edition of the Perfect Chapter powered by Billabong has been extended until 11:59 pm on Sunday, January 16th. Due to a record number of participants in the early hours of voting, the Perfect Chapter website was unavailable and is now live again.

Voting is done through the Perfect Chapter website, at www.capituloperfeito.com.

In all, 14 national surfers, 13 international surfers, and 5 surfers from the New Generation category, are in contention to define the final list of 16 surfers.

This will be composed of 6 national surfers, 7 international surfers, 2 wildcards, and 1 from the New Generation category. After its debut in 2020, this category allows the participation of a surfer aged up to 17 years old.

With a guaranteed presence in the Perfect Chapter 2022 is wild-card Anthony Walsh, reigning champion.

There will also be a local wildcard of Praia de Carcavelos. For the first time, this will be awarded in a trials championship, promoted by the União de Freguesias de Carcavelos and Parede, to be held on a date to be announced.
